Abstract

             It is assumed that the semantic of the terms should be consistent with the meaning it conveys. Semantic aspect of scientific terminology requires absence of ambiquity and synonymic rows, in other words, professional terms must be completely consistent with the meaning expressed in its form and unambiguous. To put it simply, there must be one word — one meaning. But multiple meanings in a scientific term should not be considered as non-existent, because professional term is not only one of many other terms of that particular field, but it is also a unit of language as a whole. If the same term is used in many different fields of science, it is not considered as a contradiction in terms. But it is not appropriate for one particular term of one field to have multiple different meanings. For example: isolation (isolation action, result), pressure (action, quantity).
           The meaning of a word is real, and phenomena and movements are considered in linguistics as a cult of concepts and language symbols. As the reality of the phenomenon, society, and people's consciousness changes, the meaning of the word changes. This change is not noticeable to us, it is gradual, and in some cases, it even has the opposite meaning to its original value.
          The main objective of this report is to study native mongolian words that are widely used in forming new terminology by changing their word semantic, by adding suffixes to the root word and by forming compound terms. We truly hope that studying structure and meaning of calque translated terms will help in some ways to systemize professional terms, to do further research work and to use calqued terms in academic tools.
