About the Journal

First published in 2001, Historia Mongolarum (formerly, Tüükh) is the foremost regular publication for historical research on Mongolian history, sponsored by the National University of Mongolia. In 2011 it changed its name into Historia Mongolarum, and seeks to bring together scholarship from every major field of historical study and to welcome submissions with an international perspective. Articles, notes, documentations and debates in Historia Mongolarum on all the main aspects of political, economic, social and cultural interactions between Mongolia and other parts of world are based on solid research and critical thinking and connect Mongolia to the region, nation, and world. The journal welcomes contributions representing diverse perspectives. The editors would particularly like to encourage articles that are new in content and interpretation and that make a contribution to historical knowledge.
